Michael G. Brooks

Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Brooks leads Visual Mining’s efforts in strategic alliances and sales. Previously, he was President of Checkmate Advisors LLC, a consortium of top industry specialists that provides business strategy, business development, revenue acceleration, M&A and other assistance. Mr. Brooks’ career includes serving as Vice President Strategic Alliances and Marketing at Theoris Software, a business intelligence solutions provider where he led product launch, marketing and alliance efforts; serving as Senior Director of Strategic Alliances for Unica Corporation where he developed global and national strategic alliances; and over 12 years with Ernst & Young’s information systems consulting group. He has also led the evaluation, acquisition, development and deployment of various enterprise applications including cost accounting, financial reporting and payroll systems.

Mr. Brooks has advised numerous start-ups and F500 companies on issues that include start-up formation, M&A, and strategic alliances. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. degrees, from Appalachian State University and is a CPA.
