NetCharts Nominated in 3 Categories as Finalist for Java Pro Magazine's 2002 Reader's Choice Awards
Palo Alto, February 28 2002- Java Pro ( www.javapro.com ), the leading independent magazine for Java programming professionals, has announced the finalists in the fourth annual Readers' Choice awards. Winners will be announced at the Java Technology Achievement Awards reception, cosponsored by Sun Microsystems, March 26 in San Francisco. Winners will also be highlighted in the May issue of Java Pro , shipping March 28 to subscribers and newsstands.
Java Pro Readers' Choice Award recipients are selected through reader-submitted nominations, followed by voting via online and phone. The voting process is managed by the independent research firm of Wilson Research Group. Readers were asked to select the best Java tools, components and products in 29 categories.
"Competition was extremely tough this year-we had more than twice as many products nominated as last year, from many more companies. Moreover, the vote was very close in many categories. This fact demonstrates to us that the voters- Java Pro subscribers, all of them experienced Java programmers-have used many excellent products in a vigorous marketplace, and that whether a product wins an award or not, there are no losers in such a commanding list of favorites," said Kay Keppler, editor of Java Pro.
NetCharts is nominated for being a finalist in the following categories:
- Best Pure Packaged Client Application
- Best Java Graphics Software
- Best Java Visualization Product
