Visual Mining, Inc. Tops NetCharts Suite of Data Visualization Tools with NetCharts Server 4.0
Rockville, Maryland, August 20, 2002- Visual Mining®, Inc., today announced the commercial release of a new version of its flagship product NetCharts® Server 4.0-the industry's most powerful and comprehensive data visualization platform.
NetCharts Server 4.0 was built in response to several driving forces: the need for a wide range of people to build specific views of data; to make it fast and easy to distribute data among the people who need to use it; and demands on more accurate and timely information in specific areas such as finance.
"We have customers in every industry and function you can think of, but in finance especially, the need to share, interpret, and act on information quickly is in the headlines every day now," said Michael R. MacDonald, Visual Mining founder and CEO. "That's why one of the most important parts of this release was the support of XBRL, designed to facilitate the flow of business information. XBRL enhances the sharing of information, NetCharts Server enhances the ability of people to interpret data quickly and act upon it."
NetCharts Server 4.0 can be used as a stand-alone service or alongside sophisticated enterprise application servers, including WebSphere and WebLogic. It can also be deployed in .NET (Web Services) scenarios. Improved security features allow for separate configuration of administration and development functions, including the securing of individual projects.
This release of NetCharts Server 4.0 incorporates simple HTML forms for people with little or no programming experience. For programmers, new APIs and tool kits make it easy to use with any server-side programming language. Both groups will find drill down functionality and a multitude of new formatting options.
